Our Terms of Use
The rules for using this website and what to expect when you reach out, request an estimate, or hire us. Written in plain English, no traps, no fine-print games.
Plain-English Rules, No Surprises
These terms cover how to use this website and what to expect when you ask us for an estimate, hire us for work, or share photos and reviews with us. We wrote them in plain English because we'd rather you actually read them than skim past a wall of legalese.
Seven Things to Know Before You Use This Site
By Using This Site, You Accept These Terms
When you visit this website, request an estimate, or send us a message through any form on this site, you agree to these terms. By using the site, you also confirm you're at least 18 years old, or that you're using the site under the supervision of someone who is. If you don't agree with something here, the simplest path is to stop using the site, but if you're confused or want to talk it through, call us at (406) 274-5333 first. We'd rather sort it out over a five-minute conversation than lose your business over a misunderstanding.
Use the Site for What It's For
This website exists to help homeowners, property managers, and builders in the Missoula area learn about our framing, siding, gutter, addition, and deck services, request estimates, see our work, and contact us. You're welcome to browse, share links to our pages, and reach out as much as you want.
What you can't do:
- Scrape contact info or run automated tools that hammer our forms
- Attempt to break, probe, or stress-test our security
- Impersonate another person or business when contacting us
- Use the contact form for unrelated solicitation, sales pitches, or marketing
- Post or send anything illegal through our contact channels
We log basic activity for security reasons. For the full picture on what we collect and why, see our privacy policy.
Photos, Content, and the Advanced Custom Builders Name
The photos, written content, logos, and the Advanced Custom Builders name are ours, either created by us, licensed to us, or used with permission. You can share links to our pages freely. You can't repackage our content, photos, or branding to represent your own business or to imply we endorse another company. Manufacturer logos shown on this site (James Hardie, LP, Trex, and others) belong to their respective owners and appear here under their product and certification programs.
This site occasionally links to manufacturers, suppliers, and other third-party websites. We don't control those sites and aren't responsible for their content, accuracy, or practices. Visit them at your own discretion. If you'd like to use any of our work in a publication, news piece, or partnership context, just ask.
Reviews, Photos, and Anything You Send Us
When you send us a review, a jobsite photo, or feedback through any form on this site or to an Advanced Custom Builders email address, you give us permission to share it on our website, on Google, on social media, or in marketing materials, with your name and city, but never your full address or phone number. If you'd rather we not use something you sent, tell us and we'll take it down. You're responsible for what you send us. Please don't submit anything that's not yours to share, and don't include other people's personal information in reviews or photos.
What an Estimate Is and Isn't
When we give you a free estimate, that's a good-faith price based on what we can see during our walkthrough or from the plans you provide. If we get into the work and find rot, structural damage, or other hidden issues, we'll stop, show you what we found, and give you a clear updated number before doing any extra work. We don't surprise-bill, ever. (A small travel charge may apply for estimates outside a 45-mile radius.)
When you give us your phone number on a form, you're inviting us to call or text you about your project. We won't sell or share your number, and we won't add you to a marketing blast. If you want to stop hearing from us, just tell us.
Warranties, Liability, and the Website Itself
Your warranty comes from your contract, not from this website. Every project we complete carries a one-year workmanship warranty, and any manufacturer warranties on materials are governed by the manufacturer's own programs and documentation. Any specific numbers, timeframes, or warranty examples mentioned anywhere on this website are illustrations, not promises. The only warranty terms you should rely on for your specific project are the ones in the written contract you sign with us, plus any manufacturer documentation we provide alongside it.
This website is informational. The numbers, advice, and timelines on the site are based on typical conditions. Your property and your project may be different. The only binding pricing or scope you should rely on is what's in a signed contract from us. We're licensed and insured in Montana. If something goes wrong on a job, the contract and the warranty are how we make it right.
If you misuse the site. If you break these terms or misuse this website in a way that creates a problem for us, including claims from third parties, costs, legal fees, you agree to cover what it costs us to deal with it. In plain English: don't do bad stuff with this site, and if you do, the cost falls on you, not us.
Updates, Governing Law, and Fine Print
We may update these terms when our services change, when laws change, or when we realize we could explain something more clearly. These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Montana. If we ever can't resolve a disagreement directly (we'd really rather just talk it out), the dispute will be handled in a Montana state or federal court. If any part of these terms turns out to be unenforceable, the rest of them still apply. These terms, together with your written contract if you hire us, make up the full agreement between us. They replace any earlier conversations or notes about how the website works.
