Siding Built for Montana Weather
New installation, replacement, and repair in James Hardie, LP SmartSide, Versetta Stone, vinyl, and metal, installed by a framing crew that strips to the studs and does it right. Protect your home from Montana's snow, sun, and freeze-thaw with siding that lasts.
Protection and Curb Appeal That Hold Up
Your siding is your home's first line of defense against Montana's deep winters, harsh UV, and freeze-thaw cycles. Done right, it keeps moisture out and looks sharp for decades. Done poorly, it traps water and rots the structure behind it. We do it right.
Advanced Custom Builders installs, replaces, and repairs siding on new builds, existing homes, and mobile homes: James Hardie, LP SmartSide, Versetta Stone, vinyl, and sheet metal, plus soffit and fascia. And because we're framers first, we catch and fix the structural issues a siding-only crew would simply cover up.
Siding Work You Can Count On
Every siding job is fully licensed and insured, backed by a one-year workmanship warranty, and quoted free and in writing up front. We're proud to offer discounts for veterans and seniors, too.
Schedule NowMore Than Skin Deep
Good siding is about what's behind it as much as what you see. Here's how we make sure your new exterior protects your home, not just covers it.
Siding Chosen for Our Climate
For Montana's extremes, deep snow, harsh UV, and freeze-thaw cycles, fiber cement and engineered wood offer the best balance of moisture resistance, durability, and fire safety. We install James Hardie fiber cement and LP SmartSide engineered wood, along with Versetta Stone, vinyl, and sheet metal. We'll help you pick the material that fits your home, your look, and your budget.
"Tony is amazing and fair priced. Quality work each time so far, and great about responding to questions. I always call and always use ACB. Thanks guys!"

We Strip to the Studs, Every Time
Some crews will install new siding right over the old to save a day of labor. We don't because that hides moisture damage and rot that only gets worse behind a fresh facade. We strip back to the studs, check for damage and repair it, install a proper moisture barrier, and only then apply your new siding. It's the difference between siding that looks good for a season and an exterior that protects your home for decades.
"They exceeded every expectation — prompt, professional, and incredibly efficient from start to finish. Their attention to detail and commitment to quality were evident throughout, and the cleanup was impeccable."

An Exterior Crew That Understands Structure
Because we're framing contractors, a re-side with us can be more than cosmetic. While the walls are open, we can safely alter, add, or remove non-load-bearing walls and reconfigure window or door openings to better fit your space, then wrap it all in your new exterior. If we find rot or structural damage when we strip the old siding, we have the crew and the know-how to fix it on the spot, not paper over it.
New Installs, Replacements, and Repairs
Whether you're siding a brand-new build, replacing a tired exterior, or repairing storm or impact damage, we handle it on custom homes, existing homes, and mobile homes alike. A full siding replacement typically takes 7 to 14 days, depending on your home's size and any structural repairs we uncover along the way. We also install and replace soffit and fascia to finish the job and keep water moving the right direction.
Pairing your new siding with new gutters or planning a larger addition? One crew can carry the whole project.
Siding That Stands Up to the Seasons
From the moisture barrier behind the wall to the fiber cement on the face of it, we build exteriors for the climate we actually live in. Locally-sourced materials, a framing crew's attention to structure, and two decades of experience go into every job.
Schedule NowAdvanced Custom Builders recently replaced some damaged siding for me. Tony went out of his way to seek out and special order the new siding to exactly match the old. As soon as they had the material in, Tony and his crew showed up and had the work completed in no time. They came in at the price that Tony quoted me before beginning — no gimmicks, no games. Absolutely outstanding service from super nice, professional people.

Siding Questions, Answered
For Montana's extremes — deep winter snows, harsh UV, and freeze-thaw cycles — fiber cement and engineered wood are the best choices. They offer a strong balance of moisture resistance, durability, and fire safety. We'll help you weigh those against vinyl, metal, and stone for your home and budget.

Generally, no. Installing over existing siding can hide moisture damage and rot. We always strip back to the studs, check for damage, install a moisture barrier, and then apply the new siding, so problems get fixed, not covered up.
On average, tearing off old siding and installing new fiber cement or vinyl takes 7 to 14 days, depending on your home's size and any structural repairs we find along the way.
Yes. As framing contractors, we can safely alter, add, or remove non-load-bearing walls and reconfigure window or door openings to better fit your space before wrapping the new exterior — something a siding-only crew can't offer.
